WELCOME TO TENUTA CASSIA VETUS

Between Florence and Arezzo, surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards, Tenuta Cassia Vetus is a nineteenth-century property that has undergone a comprehensive 5-year renovation and is now a family-run farmhouse.

The estate is located within the borders of Castelfranco Piandiscò, which was named one of Italy’s most picturesque villages, and derives its name from the property’s proximity to the ancient Roman Via Cassia. It is a part of the beautiful landscapes of Arezzo’s Chianti district and is close to the Le Balze naturalistic area, which is known for its magnificent rock formations.

The estate provides lodging in three fully furnished modular apartments and looks after the land using ethical methods in the production of certified organic olive oil, wine, and irises.

Fast internet is available throughout the farm house, pool, and other outside areas, and it is free for guests to use.

We speak Italian, English and Dutch fluently.

Starting from the summer of 2024, a fast charging station for your electric vehicles (EVs) will be available.

Finally, we’d like to share our hospitality philosophy. Tenuta Cassia Vetus is an animal farm set in a flora-rich region of the countryside, therefore we think it’s crucial to be mindful and knowledgeable to create a lovely, tranquil, and secure experience. Due to this, we only allow adult guests, and we are unable to accept pets of our guests in order to maintain the peace of everyone, including Nerone, our Maremma shepherd. As a last point, Tenuta Cassia Vetus discourages smoking both inside and outside, in the communal areas.

The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development provided financial assistance for a portion of the farmhouse’s renovation (EAFRD).
